Recently completed structural package for the new CFA building in Dimboola. 2 structural raft slabs, hose tower footing and motor room infil slab completed and ready for structural steel. This is one of the projects we completed prior to the Easter break, completed for Bowden corp this structural slab is for the new Melton ambulance Victoria building. Another reasonably involved ground slab it was a great effort from the boys to get this dug, set up and poured in just over two weeks given it was 550m2 of raft, approximately 27 tonne of steel and 300m3 over two pours. Picking up some days on our end of the schedule meant the panels could be lifted before the Easter break and really get the project moving along as seen in the final photo. Jenny’s childcare Ballarat ground floor slab completed this week for Cyclo construction. Quite a lot involved with this one to keep the boys on their toes. Lift pit, column and block wall starters, angled walls ect and to give us one more thing to worry about on pour day the builder requested wet area falls to be pour insitu with the slab to preset floor wastes… cheers #concrete #construction #greygold #ballarat

Another 2 jobs from the last couple of months, we were lucky enough to be given the opportunity to complete new warehouses for Kerfab in Kerang as well as Athlegen in Ballarat. I’m especially proud of our boys for their efforts in Kerang, 1900m2 of warehouse as well as 150m2 office raft slab excavated, set up and poured, cut and packed up in 6 days to keep us on track prior to Christmas! #concrete #construction #melbourne #greygold

Hi all, once again, apologies for the social media hiatus (I feel as though every post we make begins like this 🤷🏽‍♂️) as is the case with everyone at the moment we’ve had a bit to get through and the socials have taken a back seat… here’s a project we recently completed at ETEX plaster for their new recycling plant. Quite a lot involved in this project, unfortunately I don’t have any photos of the finished product however the internal consisted of 40 risen pedestals and falls to a central formed insitu strip drain. An interesting project completed last week in Gregory Street Ballarat for Paddy @the_scape_artist. Had a lot of fun setting this one out and making all the angles work but we got there in the end 🤦🏽‍♂️ really happy with the end result, nice colour, nice crisp edges and straight lines. Scrolling through some photos from jobs late last year and came across this interesting little one. I honestly think I’d rather do a 400m2 raft than have to deal with the headaches of this one again. Another nice one for the scape artist, the slab had to perfectly match the placement of 1800x600 lime stone pavers, all perfectly set on one plain as pavers of that size generally don’t like to bend... we actually set the whole thing up and were told it wasn’t random enough so started again #concretecreations #landscaping #hardscapes #construction

A couple of jobs from last week. The first a small paving job around a shed, with a small stair set, for this one we felt the best option for drainage was a strip drain around the perimeter as the pipe work for the charged system ran directly in the middle of the area between shed and retaining wall making a lot of other solutions difficult. Second job is some work for the scape artist on Ballarat, a couple of small sets of landings to be tiled, a paving slab and a strip footing for a paved mow strip. A split level slab completed a month ago in Buninyong, the plans stipulated a single pour for this one. In order to achieve this we poured the stepdown first with a high dose load to enable us to strip the formwork and pour into it. #concrete #construction #concretecreations #ballarat

A great little decorative project that we washed of in the rain today. Step treads with red gum risers, path and mowing strip/bung wall all in Hanson exposed "ocean grove". It's always nice to change things up a little and work on projects that are away from the standard, keeps everyone fresh. Great to get this one out of the ground over the past week. Basement and garage slab at our Linton project. 250mm deep by 2.5m wide thickening around the entire slab, top layer SL102 and bottom layer 16mm bar 200mm centres perpendicular to slab edge with cranked Ls and 12mm bar at 400mm centres parallel to slab. A split level slab we completed in the Creswick forest resort. This slab step was 1.6 metres so we elected to pour the slab in two pours starting with the lower tier. The boys on this project did a Stella job not only with the step itself but all those little things that make the building process easier such as stepped rebates, something that is sometimes overlooked on these projects and it is the difference between having a nice stair case or landscaping against brick work or ugly exposed footing. #concretecreations #concrete #structural #greygold

Paving slabs and low brick retaining wall footings today in Ballarat for @the_scape_artist. The big fella keeping me on my toes with 45s everywhere (including the stairs), stairs and 20mm cavities under he first riser running through to natural ground with under slab drip irrigation, for a couple of creeping plants, really testing the friendship!

Meanwhile the boys have been hard at it at our Werribee project, 4 unit slabs in the ground and these two well under way with all blinding poured and sand pads packed. It's great to have a crew do things properly the first time and work well together, going the extra mile by screeding blinding and packing sand pads properly means that poly goes in easier, cages go in smoother and we have no issues with clearance. Another productive day for the Concrete Creations team, our insitu wall in Richmond was poured and ready to be striped tomorrow, the slab crew were putting in cages for another two units at our Werribee project and we managed to get this little exposed job sealed to cap the day off. Formwork just about completed at our Richmond project, with just the last shutters to fix up and some bracing to hold the thing together. 28 linear metres of insitu retaining wall, beginning at 1300mm high and tapering out as the walk way climbs to 300mm at the top end. Another nice one from the boys today pouring this 360 square meter shed slab. 150mm thick, double mesh and 3 drains made this one a little more challenging than the average shed slab. This pour ran like clock work with 55 cubic metres on the ground by 10:30 and out of thee by 3 #concretecreations #shedlab #greygold #goodtimes

A really great effort from Adam and the boys in our slab crew today getting this slab down in trying conditions for Lendlease and Alfred constructions at a 20 unit development in Werribee. There's a lot involved in these, raft slabs with 1500+ deep beams, full ligature cages with 16mm 3 bar top and bottom, 150mm slab with double mesh (bottom 81) and 4 step downs and 2 wet areas. A late one at concrete creations, 3:15 concrete is never a great time... but a nice set up and pour out of the way nevertheless, difficult to see in the photos but there was quite a bit involved in the prep work for this one as well as working with the exiting hard surface levels around the back whilst still making everything flow and look good by I think we nailed it. #greygold #concrete #nailedit
